This novel is so old. and was published in 1939. The book tells a story from World War 1.
The story is about Lal Singh, Lalu, A protagonist.A sepoy in Indian Army fighting With Britishers against Germans in France.
Lalu was a peasant, comes from poor family, and whose family is throw out from there land.
The soldiers had fought from there heart in france. The britishers dont have much guns and dont have machine guns. on the other hand germans had machines gun and all the amour.
The story revolves around Lalu, Uncle Kripa, Danoo singh. and subha singh( who was with Lalu at his level, but his father promoted him up in post and made him jemadar. The book is written in War time. And a awesome book. The book has everything, war, love, climax. everything.
