Acer has launched new low range laptops called "emachines". I had taken e725 in june 2009.

As compared to others brands emachines is efficient and has all the new features and specifications build in it.
The webcam clearity is best as compared to all brands.
They give 1 year warranty with free maintenance and licensed antivirus software.
The only problem with this e725 is poor battery.
Also it has no power setting settings in it.
