The movies from Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) stable till now have made us to look forward to something different and interesting in each of their movies. Not surprisingly, RGV's corporation is names ''Factory'' that regularly churns out movies(or ''Products'' as they call them) to cater the people like me who are tired of watching the regular kind of movies.

Note:

This review does not reveal the plot or story of the films as I want you to enjoy the movie on screen.

The latest offering from Factory is ''Ab tak Chappan''. When I saw the promotional ads, I thought it to be another underworld movie like satya. But how mistaken I am!!!

Storyline:

This move is the first of its kind in the sense that it is based on encounter cops. Sadhu (Nana Patekar) is a encounter cop who specializes in killing the criminals in the spot, when the police finds it difficult to prove them guilty in courts. The internal politics within the police department and the media's antiques are well depicted in the movie.

Actors:

Nana is excellent as encounter cop and he underplayed the character which is apt. Revathy is good as his wife and all the actors who acted as fellowmen of Nana are just a treat to watch them act.

The background music by salim-sulaiman is haunting and suited to the mood of the movie. These guys have proved that they are here to stay with their previous success Bhooth.

Technical Department:

The camera angles are fleeting and depict the gloomy environment in front of our eyes. I felt like watching the movie again just to enjoy the picturesque frames.

Director Shimit Amin has narrated the story at a steady pace, and not for single minute you will feeling like moving away. The dialogues are short and to-the-point.

Prasad Purandhare who played the underworld don as Zameer is a fabulous actor. However there are certain unnecessary dialogues like the one in lingerie shop with his mistress where he makes remarks about taking them off. These could have been well avoided to establish the personality of the villain.

Also the dialogues have lot of slang and obscene words , but again I dont think anyone would like to watch this movie with their whole family.

Conclusion:

Over all this movie is a must to watch for everyone who wish to see quality cinema. This movie is one of those films which make me beleive that Indian Cinema is maturing both in terms of narration as well as technology.
