I remember the first time I had bought this album way back in 1990 when I had come to India for my vacation. I was just 12 years old then. I was so mesmerised by the music that it become an instant favourite with me and my mother that we used to play it all day long and even while traveling (other fellow passengers got really bored of it...names not mentioned due to request of anonymity hahah).
The composers Nadeem-Shravan got instant fame due to this immensely hit album and was a real money spinner for the late music baron Gulshan Kumar. The biggest reason of the movie being a hit was mainly due to the songs. It also made Kumar Sanu a 'star' singer overnight along with Anuradha Paudwal.
Anyway, there isnt any single track that you would feel like fast forwarding. Even one particular track cannot be picked out to say its the best. All the songs are so good that even repeated hearings dont make your ears exhausted. Simple instrumentation and richness in melody along with expert rendition is what makes the album click even today.
Even today, listening to these songs brings back the old memories of how life used to be in 1990...
I still listen to these songs today and never feel that they are outdated...
As for the ones who have lost in touch listening to these wonderful songs, grab your copy from the nearest shop or take it out of your dusty shelf right away and listen to them...as you do not require a particular ambience to listen them to...they can be listened to anywhere, anytime and everytime!!
