Directed by Mohit Suri, it takes on the runaway hit of the 90’s with sheer passion and love. I remember, listening to Ashiqui songs and calling Rahul Roy as ‘Ashiqui Roy’. That was it. I never watched the movie… The songs were the life of the movie and proved for its amazing success.
Plot: Circa 2013 and A2 has captivated the audience with the eternal love saga. Aditya Roy Kapoor(Rahul Jaykar), the superstar alcohol addict falls in love at first sight with small town girl-next-door Shraddha Kapoor(Arohi)
He vows to make her a superstar and thus begins his journey of passion, romance and struggle. He is lost in the myriad of emotions that life throws at him. His only happiness is Arohi’s success and sadly, it’s his withdrawal from the world too.
Mohit proves music can never go wrong in bringing two hearts together. The music is enchanting. Arohi’s superstardom and Rahul’s growing addiction and weakness to life leads their love to a dead end.
The sooner they realise, its better. But love is an addiction that is hard to break.
So, here goes Rahul’s life into a sea of emotions, constantly losing his mind and identity. Arohi’s growing love and innocence makes their relationship sail along but how far?
