Himmesh has become a totally ''in demand'' music director and singer. He sings his own songs and saves lot of money and time for himself as well as the film maker (i think).I had read his recent interview where he had mentioned that he is composing about 3 songs a day. That's too much for a music director.Isn't so?And also he says he is going to do more volumes of music next year.Anyway I feel he is the ''in thing'' right now in bollywood and also in indipop music world because of all his music being foot tapping and also every tv and radio channel plays the songs that he has lately composed.
Note:His nasal sound is not at all that bad as everyone tells. Its sounds quite natural and his punjabi accent is also good.
Aap Ka Suroor album really does not fit the bill but for the few famous songs.
I personally bought this album having a doubt about the rest of the songs since I had listened to only 3 songs which are: tera suroor, naam he tera tera (which was really touching) and samjho na; and I concluded that the rest of the songs would be atleast little good keeping in mind the fact that himmesh has become one in demand right now.
When I actually listened to the cassette ,i was totally disheartened with the rest of the songs except the ones that I mentioned above.
One another exception:The remix of 'i love you sayyoni' is one dance mix which really appealed to me.
The saddest part of all this is that, I always felt home sick listening to rest of the songs because they really tend to put me in melancholy mood. Therefore I have, for the time being, kept the cassette out of reach from listening ,so that I dont fall to depression hearing too much of it especially listening to 'dur jayyo na'.
Overall my suggestion would be to wait till the cassette or cd ''best of himmesh reshammiya'' comes or get few of these songs recorded along with other songs which you like. That is what I do most often ;but now a days I have no time to collect songs and give it for recording.I used to do that during my college days.
Since the music is ok for casual listening ,it would not be a waste of money if you buy it.
Another Suggestion:Go for 'Aksar' cassette if you want to listen to some good music by himmesh.
Cheers:-)
