Anand. Review on Aan

There are very few old movies that I am fond of and Anand, unmistakably is one of them. What I like most about the movie is its melodious but poignant songs and not to miss the superb acting by Amitabh Bacchhan and Rajesh Khanna. It has always been a pleasure to watch this movie even though it makes me cry every single time I watch it.

Anand is the kind of character that I have always wanted to be. Full of life and

blossoming, inspite of the pressures of life and that is why perhaps this movie has been one of my favourites. Everything about Anand's personality is so magnetic. The way he randomly walks up to people and talks about all the bullshit that he can think of, the way he says Babu Moshai, the way he makesw everyone fall in love with him.

Amitabh Bacchhan in his original ''angry young man''with a soft heart truly deserves admiration for all the seriousness that he put in his role. It was actually an inspiration for me to start a daily journal which I have been doing since 5 years now. I wish it were good enough to be published but unfortunately I haven't met any Anand yet.

The beginnig of the movie actually seems quite funny now ......the rows of bicycles lined in the ''parking area'' of an auditorium when we are so used to seeing cars instead. The end as sad at it could be. Why does he have to die??? Times like this, I hate Bollywood...

The movie re-defines human temparaments. We can clearly tell that its because of Anand's attitude that makes him the centre of attraction, something that we all llong for(or maybe its just me), then why is it that we all are not like him? I tried but couldn't really succeed. Hate to say it but maybe I need to be a patient ofLymphocircoma of the Intestine to be like him.

The other interesting thing is that we always say that people who think alike alwayts get along well with each other but that is not always true. Anand, a popular sanguine for example wins the heart of a perfect melancholy ( I forgot what Amitabh Bacchhan is called in the movie). Difficult to agree with but opposites attract.(Please don't take it in the other sense).

My fav songs from the movie... Maine tere liye hi saat rang ke......Kahin door jab din dhal jaaye....Zindagi......actually all of them.

For those of you who haven't seen the movie yet, u are missing somethiing truly worthwile. I can assure u that u won't be disappointed...
