Here comes another low budget, no frills attached movie from the house of UTV who have successfully ventured into this domain with previous hits like Khosla ka Ghosla & Bheja fry. This is a first timer for many of the people associated with the film. The director Raj Kumar Gupta who has assisted anurag kashyap before trying his hand on full fledged direction.

Then there is Rajeev Khandelwal who with this movie makes a transition from the small screen to the big screen. Now coming to the main part. To say in one word this movie is awesome. Yes one would not expect much from first timers but contrary to this it scores with its edge of the seat storyline and thrill quotient, complemented by a slick screenplay and an apt background score. Rajeev as Aamir is very convincing and gives his performance as a seasoned movie actor. The emotions of shock, surprise, grief, anger, helplessness and frustration have been showcased in a very convincing way.  Revealing much about the story wont be a good idea I suppose.

The film begins with Aamir Ali returning from UK to Mumbai after getting a Doctor's Degree where he expects his family to receive him but to his surprise there is no one. Instead he gets a mobile phone from two unidentified guys on a bike. What follows is a rollercoaster ride for Aamir where his fate depends on solely on the calls he receives on the mobile phone (from a person unknown to him) as against his own belief that 'Aadmi apni kismat khud likhta hai'. Kudos to the cinematographer for the brilliant camera angles. The representation of Mumbai in its naked truth could not have been better. The entire movie is shot in the less traversed bylanes of Mumbai depecting the real situation and thruth in its entirity and moreover most of the time camera was hidden to capture the true expressions of the bystanders and passers by. All these things come together to make this film truly watch worthy. Because of the relatively unknown star cast (barring Rajeev Khandelwal) this movie did not get the publicity it deserves but I am sure after the numerous reviews and word of mouth it will pick up. Another very important factor that such a movie should adhere to is the time limit since an edge of the seat thriller like this one should not be long and here this thing has been taken care by keeping the run time of the movie under 1 hr 45 minutes. Thats how a thriller should be. One thing that will still keep the audiences thinking is why was Aamir only selected to go through all this ordeal. There is no reason justified for the same. But on a final note-Highly recommended and a must watch movie.
