An Actor par excellence!. Review on Aamir Khan

AAMIR KHAN..................Well an actor par excellence and since his debut in 1988,with QSQT,i have been a great admirer of his talent and his ability as an actor.The first think that comes to mind when we think of AAMIR KHAN...............is that he is a PERFECTIONIST,but there is more to him than that.For me great actors are those who rise above a script and a role.............and add so much from their side that it becomes unforgettable and when I think of such actors only few names come to mind like ASHOK KUMAR,BALRAJ SAHANI,NASIRUDDIN SHAH,AMITABH BACHCHAN,DILIP KUMAR,I'll not put Aamir in that catogory,but of all the actors of my generation he certainly is the BEST and I hope one day I can put him in that list of actors.

TALENT SPEAKS...............and AAMIR KHAN is a perfect example of that,he doesn't have the clean good looks of SALMAN KHAN,the star appeal of SHARUKH,the physique of AKSHAY KUMAR,dancing abilities of HRITHIK ROSHAN...................he doesn't have a GRT personality either,he's hardly 5''7 inches , but he stands up tall in the ACTING DEPARTMENT,his dedication and honesty shines through his craft in every film.......................and thats what makes him special.He is a brilliant actor,and he is made a name fo himself only on the basis of his TALENT.That is why it is said that you may have everything but in the end it is your talent that stays with you and the others.What seta AAMIR KHAN apart from rest of his contemporaries is his ability to do different kind of roles with conviction and his greatest asset is his involvement in a role..............that when we watch his film we come out discussing,Munna\Bhuvan\ACP RATHORE\Akash.As an actor he has never dissapointed his fans...................a film of his may have been bad but he never failed as an actor in any of his film.

I have watched almost all his films...............and my favourites have been RAKH,HOLI,QSQT,DEEWANA MUJHSA NAHI,GHULAM,SARFAROSH,LAGAAN,DCH,JJWS,AHAT,RANGEELA and some of my favourite performances of his have been:

MUNNA(RANGEELA)........this surely tops my list,i loved his performance as Munna,he played a tapori in the film................his expression,body language,dialouge delivery everything was spot on.No over the top acting.He also proved with this film that he had great comic timing.He truly rocked as Munna.

RAJ(QSQT)...............well it was his debut film,but he performed like a seasoned artist.He was very confident and one could feel by looking at his performance that here was an actor who was born to act.

ACP RATHORE(SARFAROSH).........another brilliant performance and one of my favourite films of AK.He didn't have that kind of rugged looks or personality to carry of that role but he made up for that with his acting.A knockout performance.

BHUVAN(LAGAAN)...................well he almost lived his role of Bhuvan,and it will stay with us for years to come.Deserved all awards that year.

AKASH(DCH)................well it was kind of a grey character for AAMIR,and he played it brilliant

Some of the other performances that I liked were from RAKH,DEEWANA MUJHSA NAHI,AKELE HUM AKELE TUM and GHULAM.And though RAJA HINDUSTANI WAS A SUPEHIT,i think that was one of his worst performance,very loud and unlike AAMIR KHAN.

AAMIR KHAN is not only an able actor but very versatile too..................he has all kinds of roles and with utmost conviction.He has played a loverbuy,college kid,a villager,a police officer,tapori,sauve and sophisticated Aakash,a martyr...........and all his performances have been memorable.And though he might not get awards every year for his well-deserved performances,the love and respect that he gets from his fans is his greatest REWARD.
