Aamir Khan's 5 best movies. Review on Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan - Probably One of the finest actors of Indian Films. Easily India's Answer to Al Pacino and Dustin Hoffman. His style of working on only 1 or maximum 2 movies at a time whoch mean at an average of 1 movie release per year or maximum two was started by Al Pacino and Hoffman. Enough in to that, now I will give you what I think is Aamir Khan's 5 best movies till date. Although except for a Mela(which was his worst performance till date) he has given exceptionally good performance in all his movies. I won't write a full fledged review on the movies but just synopsis.

5) Lagaan

His First movie as a full fledged producer is about a group of British Officers challanging a drought stricken villagers headed by Bhuvan(aamir khan) to a cricket match. If the villagers win the match, they are exemted from paying Tax to the britishers for 3 years. In case they loose, they have to pay 3 times tax. The biggest problem being that the villagers do not know how to play the game. Morale boosting movie on lines of movies like Ben Hur and Bridge On The River Kwai. Inspired from Asterix In Britan.

4) Dil Chahta Hai

Coming of age movies about 3 fresh graduates, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna. Aamir is the highly optimistic and gutsy. Saif Ali Khan is the Simple normal next door guy. Akshaye Khanna is the shy pessimistic guy. This is one movie which atleast all of the generation X people will identify with. I certainly do. Enough has been written about DCH so I wont write further.

3) Akele Hum Akele Tum

Remake of Kramer Vs Kramer which starred Aamir Khan's idol Dustin Hoffman and Manisha Koirala's Idol Meryll Streep. About differences between a man and a woman after they get married and how they are sepearated which has a serious mental effect on them and their child. Heart Warming movie with superb climax court scenes and Excellent performance by Aamir Khan.

2) Sarfarosh

A mixture of Heat and The Untouchables. Aamir Khan plays a ACP who is after a group of People who supply guns to Forest Dacoits. When he is investigating, he finds out that there are more skeletons in the closet which lead to The ISI of pakistan. Superb movie, excellent script and outstanding performance by Aamir Khan

1) Raakh

Highly Underrated movie set in the dark future where Aamir Khan's Girlfriend gets raped and to take revenge he trains under a strict cop, Pankaj Kapoor. Eventually after taking Revenge comes a deadly climax which will knock your socks off. This is Aamir Khan's best peroformnce till date and it nearly won him a national award.
