Sorry about the title, I'm in a very weird mood!
God, I got home the other day, turned on the telly, and I found out ?Hey, there?s nothing good on TV! I take refuge by stamping about the house, wondering what I?m going to do for another 6 hours before I go to sleep. After 15 minutes of vandalising my room, I find a collection of some of my old videos.
At last something I can amuse myself with. My god, the first movie I pull out is Jawani Zindabad! Heard of that? Probably not. A very very YAwwwnnnn movie starring Aamir Khan and Farha. The story is not even worth mentioning. While I?m deciding whether to bin it or record over it, a though creeps into my head. A thought about Aamir Khan
One seldom finds an actor who they like throughout all of their movies. In fact, whos movies have all been hits. Even Amitabh Bachchan has had ups and downs in his career.
Aamir Khan too has had ups and downs in his career, but when I was reviewing him, I noticed more ups than I could imagine.
First I remembered him in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. His innocence, his charm, he was so unsophisticated, so down to earth, so unknowing that I just fell in love with him. This movie of his lingers in many people?s heartso, and will linger forever. He and Juhi Chawla have done a brilliant job. I can close my eyes and just remember his face. Who knew at those times that he would grow up to become such a successful actor?
Still lingering back in his chocolately days, remember Dil? He starred in this film with Madhuri Dixit. Again his innocence is the key here. The childish look on his face is just amazing.
Flicking through more of my videos, I find Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, one of my favourite movies. In this he plays no college ka bhala ladka, in this he is streetsmart Raghu Jaitley. In this movie, his aristocracy and roughness get his acting across. He is no innocent kid, he speaks his mind. He is straightforward and was so great in this movie. Pooja Bhatt was also really great in this movie.
Not wanting to bore you with telling you about all his movie, I have only picked out a few, Rangeela and Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke still portray the young Aamir. Check out movies like these, and then check out some of his new ones and you will see the difference. He was great in those movies, but a completey different Aamir. Now we just have to decide which one we like best!
Check out Andaz Apna Apna and laugh along with Aamir. This just shows what a versatile actor he is. He can make you laugh, make you cry. This is the sort of talent one searches for in an actor and not all can do that.
Moving slowly down the time scale, who can forget Raja Hindustani? In this movie, he made us dance to his beats, sing to his tunes, laugh at his jokes, cry at his love?.
I really don?t think you could find a better actor to portray his role in Raja Hindustani. He was just so amazing. Karishma was average.
Talking more recent movies, I think Aamir showed true talent in Sarfarosh. Some movies just bring the hidden talent out of someone, and that?s what happened with Aamir. We saw a completely different Aamir on screen. I really do recommend you watch this movie. It made me realise how proud I was to have him in our industry. I thought this movie and him as ACP Rathod were both equally amazing.
It was great when he experimented with tapori in Ghulam. He acted really well in this movie, as did Rani Mukherjee.
Talking of his most recent movies to end, he moved on to the great Lagaan. Aamir show true versatility as an actor in this movie and was absolutely amazing. This movie got the Oscar it deserved, and if you haven?t already seen it, which I doubt, then check it out.
And last but not least, I want to mention Dil Chahta Hai. In this movie, Aamir was fabulous. He has recaptured youth in such a way that no actor could think of doing. He has given young people a new face, a new identity. He was just great.
