Just like any other IIT aspirant after getting an under 40000 rank in AIEEE in the first attempt and having a close shave in the jee exams the hopes for cracking in the next and the final attempt were very high. All that was needed was a proper guidance and rigorous practice. So, I chose Aakash IIT New Delhi. And trust me this was a big mistake.
First of all they promise not to change the teacher but they did it thrice which was the sole cause of all problems. Secondly, the teaching techniques are out- dated, and focus much on what is in the syllabus rather than what is/ has been asked in the previous 10 years examination. Because trust me you cannot cover the entire syllabus, all you can do is cover the most common and repetitive portion and make the most out of it. On the other hand if you are in the medical stream Aakash is one of the best institutes to go for.
So, for IIT examination avoid Aakash if possible because there are far better options available. But for medical it is one of the best choice.
