Benyamin is the author of this book. I read this book one year ago. This book tells the story of a poor man escaping from the hell of his life to another country. But the trap behind that journey was unfortunately not known by the hero of the novel Najeeb. Actually Najeeb got a chance to go Gulf and find a job there under the supervision of an Arab. But the Arab was so cruel and he assigned Najeeb to look after the goats. Actually he was being a shepard from the time he reach there. His life was so cruel there. He worked there for some years by not knowing anything about his family. By that time his mother had died. After a long struggle he escaped from the crual Arab. There was also another man who helped Najeeb to escape from that hell. That man helped him to cross the desert. Finally he goes to the police station and there by he was sent to jail. The life of him at the jail was so much different and he gained his physical strength from the food he got there. But still he refused to eat mutton. That is the love and respect he given to the goats. After some years he for chance to go home at kerala. But still at the end of novel Najeeb didn't know who was the tall and strong guy who helped him to cross the desert. He believed that the man is actually god allah.
This novel is the real experience of a man named Najeeb from kerala. The simplicity of the language and the way of presentation is the good factor of the novel. And also Mr. Benyamin is one of the emerging writers of malayalam litrature. I recommend this book for everyone who love reading.
