In 2010, Aadesh was diagnosed with multiple myeloma(cancer of the plasma cells) and underwent a successful treatment. Actress-wife, Vijeta Pandit and her music-composer brothers Jatin and Lalit Pandit are constantly by his side. When we spoke to Lalit, he told us, "Aadesh is not keeping well at all and is in a lot of pain. He has been undergoing chemotherapy for over a month and is fighting hard. His situation is bad. The doctors are trying to do their best. We're hoping for a miracle."

The industry is concerned about the composer's health. While veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar tweeted about it, one also hears that Amitabh Bachchan has reached out to the family.
