“Better the product, higher the cost,”is not always true. Here is an anti-virus which is too strong to handle all kind of viruses. And that too free of cost!!
I was told about this anti-virus by my brother, when I did not have any, and I had got a few file infected after downloading of a virus through an e-mail. Being in a hurry, I preferred to download this free-of-cost Anti-Virus. (At that time I was of the opinion, “This is only for emergency. I will load a powerful anti-virus such as Norton or McAfee later.”) But after looking into the strength and structure provided by AVG, my opinion started changing. I installed it in another system whose infected files (which Norton was unable to cure) were cleaned by AVG. Since then, I have always used AVG.
It comes with a plug-in for Outlook & Outlook Express (I haven’t checked for other e-mail software) and its performance here is wonderful. All the incoming and outgoing E-mails are thoroughly checked; and in case a virus is found in some incoming attachments, it doesn’t allow Outlook to download it and flashes a warning!
AVG Anti-Virus can be downloaded from https://grisoft.com/ free of cost. It can be updated weekly to ensure safety from the latest viruses. It takes only 1-2 minutes on a broadband to update. Leased line users can set it up for automated download after a period as per specified by user.
