I have a very bad experience with ABT Maruti Service centre at Guindy, Chennai and I am not taken back my Car from the service Centre- TN 09 BQ 6943- MARUTI SWIFT LXI.


I given my car for Service at ABT Maruti after the 1st Rain at Chennai on 24th November due to water gone inside my car at carpet level while I parked the car outside of our office and there was a water logging for few hours in that area and this is happened while I tried to open the door. For not taking any risk, I towed the car to ABT to complete cleaning and checking my car on 27th November 2015. I immediately informed our insurance agent –HDFC ergo also to make the survey . The surveyor checked my car at ABT on 30th and informed me that there is no major problem identified / reported .


While the car was at the possession at ABT, the flood affected to my car at seat level on 2nd December 2015 and they categorized my car as “B “ and while making follow ups through the service advisor Mr.Arul Dass of ABT, he doesn’t know the status of the car, he doesn’t know where my car is lying and after my direct visit to the service centre many times my car is got ready by this Monday . During these one month duration where my car was at the possession of ABT, no progress reported and they changed many parts of my car without any intimation to me and they came out with a big bill of Rs.40900/- and the insurance claim received against this Rs.25900/- resulting in to pay the balance of Rs.15000/- .My pleading to the service show room manager Mr.MBaktavalchalam also in in vain as he is also saying that this is a natural calamity and customer need to bear the cost. I am enclosing here with the proposed bill amount and claim received amount


As the service was done by ABT in time before this flood, the cost should have been only a small amount. Even though the flood affected during the possession of ABT and these many parts changed by ABT due to this and telling me that this is as per the instruction of Maruti to change these parts . Since the flood is affected at the possession of ABT, why they are shifting this huge Burdon to the flood affected customers .


For more than one month, I am not able to use my car, suffered a lot by spending additional money on hiring car on daily basis, re sale value of the car has come down due to flood affected, mental torture and tension due to this for the last one month. For all these sufferings and loses, MARUTI ABT need to compensate me Rs. 5 lakhs
