I have been using ABN-AMRO smart gold card for past more than a year. My experience with it has not been good. Intially I applied for their freedom card, after a month I got a call from ABN-AMRO asking me to convert the card for 1, 000 rupees to a smart gold card for LIFE. I agreed, but when I got my credit card bill they charged me 2999 rupees. When I called them, their customer service was very irresposible, did not listen to my problem.
Finally I wrote an email to them, which also never got answere. After calling them some 10 times and writing 5 emails I got a call from their NOIDA headoffice and they told me that they will reduce the fee to 1500. AS for the smart gold card, it has some advantages, like your rewards points can be converted to cash and balance transfer offer.
ABN-AMRO banks worst thing is their cutomer service. According to me it is just an normal card available in marked, rewards points program is BAD. DO NOT GO FOR IT !!!
