ABN claims itself to be a flexi limit card but it sucks you into its trap. As of today I have been receiving bills which I need not pay also. The customer support is pathetic in terms of helping you with solutions.
I have been using a lot of credit cards over the last 5 years and never had any issues. But then ABN Amro approached me with a free card and I thought of giving it a try looking at all the benefits they spoke to me about.
I started using the same and out of the blue they started adding some insurance cover for the same. So every month I had to pay an EMI without my knowledge.
Then one day they decided to give me a free Gold card. The next month statement carries a Annual fee of Rs. 2000/- . It took me 4 months to ask the bank to reverse all these charges. Why reverse charges when its not a compulsion to pay. Why so many hidden cost ? The bank has no answers for these. All the interest have been charged for these months and those charges have not been reversed.
Any card goes by your past performance and track record before making any charges. But I did not see this with ABN Amro.
PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE APPLYING FOR ABN AMRO FREEDOM CARD as there is no freedom from troubles if you get one.
