I had been approached by Abn Amro some time back for very long to take a card and I finally did , the rep who came to meet me was very open about the charges /benefits, in fact after I got the card , i receieved a call form their customer service that I need to use it once within a period and for an amount if I want it freethe only issue is the the branches available in even a city like mumbai very few, they did tell me that I could drop at uti atms but after depositing a cheque it did not reflect as AS A PAYMENT for quite some time.
So I deposited another cheque at a branch , and stopped payment on the old cheque, obviously the bacnk will jnow chareg me for it , hence I feel this is a distinct disadvantage , they need to do something about the drop boxes , as otherwise at times due to access or non availability of drop boxes issu , it cna lead to an late payment and extra charges unnecessarality I am a god card holder and normally us eit for filling petrol , as there is no surcharge for using cc card at all petrol pumps unlike icic who ahev it as per hp pumps only
