Fantasy Of Fools . Review on A Series of Unfortunate Events Movie

I heard a lot about this movie and thought that this would be one of Jim Carrey's excellent acting performances but I was saddened by the way the film was portrayed and this is definitely not one of Jim Carrey's best performances.

I saw this film today and though the cast was quite large with famous actors likeMeryl Streep, Jude Law, Dustin Hoffmanand so on, it cant hold the viewer's attention for a long time.

There are four main characters in this film or rather a fantasy, Violet Boudelaire, Klauss Boudelaire and Sunny Boudelaire, the three children of the Boudelaires who perish in a fire about which we get to know later on as the movie progresses.Violet is known as The InventorKlauss as The Reader and Sunny as The Biter. Jim Carrey plays the role of Count Olaf who at the beginning becomes the children's guardian but he is mean to them, makes them do all the household chores and is only interested in acquiring their fortune.

Nobody wants evil to happen to them but it seems like the children were destined to remain with the Count as he gets their custody and immediately plans to kill them but fails, as they escape and then they are transported to another Guardian's house by the name of kind Uncle Montywho is a big lover of snakes but the Count is mad after the children's money and ater reaching there he kills the nice and sweet uncle. All these events are captured in a story type format by a person named as Lemony Snicket who is related to these children in some way.

As they keep on progressing further and further they come across ridiculous things such as Curdled Cave and the leeches in the water etc. There is absolutely no end to the children's misery and they are forced each and every time to escape from the Count as he relentlessly pursues them everywhere they go.

Friends, this movie gets even more boring later on as it keeps on winding from one place to another. Jim Carrey has got (as I believe) one of the most stupidest of all roles as he does nothing but act stupid in the film and acting stupid as always been Jim Carrey's strong point but sad to say this role wasn't upto the mark.

Anyways, that's all there is to say about this utterly boring movie. Friends, this movie is a real downer and trust me it's not worth spending valuable time and money. As for parents, I suggest you should watch The Incredibles instead of this.
