Well after a disastrous evening of watching War of The Worlds, thought would lighten up the mood and went in for A lot like Love.

Two back-to-back disappointing movies was what was in the waiting.. poor me...

The posters kind of said it all about the film..

Nothing like love to ruin a perfectly fine friendship is the tag line of the film. But hey the girl and guy in question were never really friends.

A lot like Love in a short description is When Harry Met Sally of the 21st century. If Harry were to meet Sally in today's times they would be all over each other without having any inhibitions or wondering whether they really like each other and whether feelings really matter or not.

Not that there would be anything wrong with that. It is just that like When Harry met Sally had a lot of soul that is exactly what this story of for that matter this film lacks.

The story is anything but predictable.

However the first encounter when they meet at the airport, it was least expected that Amanda Peet would knock on the bathroom door and get it on with Ashton Kutcher just because she had broken up with her boy friend before she boarded the flight.

A little flousy...

They meet again and spend a day in New York which actually could have had better moments. The only thing nice was the parting line where she says ... ''Don't say anything.. you'll spoil it''. It is so true sometimes everything is so perfect and people just with one single word can spoil it all.

It is definitely actions that speak volumes and not words. And most of the times, if you can't say anything good you shouldn't say anything at all.

A couple of years later, when Amanda Peet is dumped again and it is on new year's eve she thinks of Mr Airplane again.

One call later, they are on a date. Except this time she behaves like a mature lady and insists they spend time like friends.

Every few months or years they keep bumping into each other. Until she is engaged to be married and he is completely broke and back to living with his parents.

After successfully venturing his own business how does he go bankrupt is as good your guess as it is mine.

And now he realizes that it is time to chase that love which he felt from day one. Suddenly when nothing else in life is working out, love is top priority.

And so there he is with guitar in his hand - standing outside her apartment and singing out his love for her.

But of course she is engaged and refuses.

And then love overtakes all mental reasoning and she breaks off her engagement only to realize that he is getting married.

But like the predictability goes, she gets to his wedding and no he doesn't decide at the last minute not to get married - because it is not his wedding.

It is his sister's wedding and that's how it goes.

Love always has a perfect ending in movies... even if it starts with a fling..
