A Truly Beautiful Experience. Review on A Beautiful Mind Movie

The equation of Love is the most difficult to solve. And definitely most worthwhile, for someone deprived of Reality. The reality earned out of deceptions, lies, arrogance or maybe out of being honest, practical and determinedly focussed. Whatever!

It really doesn't make a difference to define what reality is all about. But what does matter is the deftness with which director Ron Howard handles the sensitive subject of this cerebral-smeared-lovesong. Ladies and Gentlemen, A Beautiful Mind is truly a Mind-Blowing experience.

Now, after having won four Oscars, this Russel Crowe starring film has earned a tremendous recognition the world over. I wouldn't be stating anything new when I disclose that it is based on the true story of one of the greatest minds of this century Prof. John Nash. What a Mind! a mind won over by the subtlety brought to Reason based human existence by the often underrated tender-loving-feelings. And Belief!

Nash is a recognised genius. And he also suffers from Schizophrenia. The harrowing delusions are disturbance personified. But he does overpower his weaknesses. How! It's upto you to find out and interpret it the way you think is appropriate.

As for me, Nash emerges a bigger hero and a stronger individual than many of the obvious-choices for the 'Best' that life has to offer. He grips his slippery-life with sheer belief and the belief-and-love of his beloved.

Hey guys, I haven't seen Denzel Washington in Training Day, but he must have been really really good to have snatched the Coveted Lady from Russel Crowe (Don't you think three major awards in one night after all those racist blue-moon-nights is a shady case of being politically correct after the bloodshed of 11/9). Russel Crowe is simply Mind-shattering. A very powerful portrayal coupled with a terrific sensitivity and massive subtlety.

Now, I may sound slightly biased, but I think Tom Hanks would have looked very convincing portraying such a character (Remember Forrest Gump). But, hey, hey, I am not trying to take away anything from the brilliance munificently sprinkled by the mercurial Crowe.

Connoley, as his doting wife has already earned the best supporting Oscar to prove her Merit. I must also congratulate Ron Howard for making a giant of a movie. Maybe something in the Quentin Terrentino mould. It isn't all that easy to make such a Loud Statement with a movie that rarely shouts.
