Story:

This book should be read by anyone serious about achieving success and effectiveness in all facets of their lives. It presents a holistic format for the perplexed person in harmonizing responsibilities towards family, work, community and their faith. It is a book that is both practical and inspiring.

Though there are lots of formula books for gaining success, wealth, happiness and fulfillment, this book comes out as a sincere attempt in identifying the correct habits and how to imbibe and inculcate them for an effective life. The foreword to the book gives a glimpse of what many successful people have to say on the 7 habits distilled by Covey.

Stephen Covey, takes an idea, dissects it and repeatedly drives home the point to the reader with numerous real life examples. Just as he preaches the habits of highly successful people, his book and explanations very effectively communicate the themes. Some words for the publisher - Simon & Schuster paperback edition comes out with a neat presentation format and makes reading both easy and a pleasure. No wonder it is a best-seller ever since it was first published in 1989.

Covey motivates the reader to take on responsibility of one's Self and also help others. There is great value in developing the personal mission statement, and even more value in reviewing and revising it. Do not successful companies today keep doing this regularly? The 7 Habits remind us of the benefits in balancing our personal and professional lives.

I had heard of this book a decade ago, but could read it only during 1997. I still re-read it again and again and find newer in-sights. Eager to know these 7 habits? Hear it from the horse's mouth! Get hold of the book now.

The book is worth every rupee spent.
