Hey Guys !! Did u’ll get a peek of the 56th Annual Filmfare Awards on SONY last nite ? It was from 7.30 p.m. to 12.00 p.m. WOW !! Guys what a spectacular show it was, thanks to the hostesses, the cuteypies Imran and Ranbir !!

I do not much about directors / producers / musicians of our Bollywood, but if I do watch a Film, I only remember it for its Actors and Story. But watching these fantastic award functions, is truly a worthwhile watch.

After seeing the TV Ads, of the 56th Filmfare Awards, to be broadcast, on Sony on 6th Feb, Sunday, I will just waiting eagerly for the clock to strike 7.30 p.m. and got my popcorn and pillows and snuggled up on my sofa ready to watch the show. These award functions are held in such an extravagant manner, watching it, sort of transports you there and it’s like u r seeing everything sitting down with the Stars of Bollywood.

The 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 was held on the 29th January 2011, at Yashraj Studios, Mumbai and is supposed to be the biggest celebration of Indian Cinema. The Filmfare ‘Black Lady’ remains the Pièce de résistance on every Bollywood actor, director and producer’s mantle. It is a symbol of Success and Achievement recognized by the Film Industry.

On the dot at 7.30 p.m., was the ‘Red Carpet’ show, which was where the stars were absolutely their self. It was a star studded event, made all more glamorous with the red carpet walk, marked with expensive clothes and impeccable make-up by the celebrities of Bollywood. Every celebrity was sporting the best of their looks to make the event as glamorous as they themselves are. Cattie’s vote for best gown goes to none other than the Gorgeous Katrina Kaif. That girl sure has ‘all it takes’ to make anyone Breathless when u look at her.......She is a combination of an Angel and a Fairy !!

The Main Award Function was hosted by the Young Cool Dudes – the very Suave Imran Khan and Charming Ranbir Kapoor (or 'RK' and 'IK' as they prefer to call themselves), were compering the Event and they sure did a swell job and kept us all highly entertained with their wit and humor. Kudos to both of them!

I really did not know that the Heartthrob of Young Bollywood, Ranbir is also so damn good at Compering……….He sure is a champ in everything he does. And Cattie sure is one his big big Fans !! hehehe!!

IK and RK's spoof of Guzaarish was probably one of their best segments. IK, as the magician Ethan (totally resembling Hrithik!), and RK , hilarious as Ash's Sofia, performed enough 'tricks' to keep the audience rolling with laughter. Ranbir’s costumes was just too good, infact if you did not see his face and just the costume, u wud surely think that it was our darling Ash !!

RK who kept on repeating MNIK's popular dialogue "My Name is Khan and I am very, very smart" to which, Imran gave a smart reply "Itna smart hai toh Ganguly ko drop kyun kiya! (from IPL)" (If you are so smart then why did you drop Ganguly!). Then they did another spoof on Ranjneti, where Ranbir was given the title of Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of External Affairs, Minister of Agricultural Affairs. This had the audience rolling over their seats in laughter as Imran coolly announced that Ranbir Kapoor was ‘basically’ the Minister for all types of ‘Affairs’ is only Shri Ranbir Kapoor !! (C’mon yaar !! when the sweet little guy is so handsome……..’Naturally’ girls will run after him……what will the sweet little guy do when he is so dashingly handsome??? Girls definitely will run after him…so how can anyone blame the little Bollywood Heartthrob for having affairs ???) hehehe!!

Before I take you to the next part of the show, let me tell you the Top 3 Best Lookers in Female and Male Category.

Top 3 Best dressed women as per Cattie were like this; First (Of Course !!) Our pretty pretty Katrina Kaif in a fairy pink gown, Second Sonakshi Sinha…uuf uuu maa!! She is So So Beautiful. And the Third place to Vidya Balan in her traditional saree, beautiful black with striking neck piece.

Top 3 Best dressed men as per Cattie were like this; First Karan Johar (yaar!! What a personality!!), Second Sonu Nigam with his cute bonda pony tail and third Arbaaz Khan.. (that lucky ducky Malliaka !!)

There were so many performance by some of our fav stars. The best I liked was of our King Khan and Lady Madhuri………they just glided along the floor…..so smooth and the songs of yester years of Madhuri moved the audience.

I must say our little babe Sonakshi Sinha was so beautiful, the way she danced with such dainty graceful actions to the song ‘Een Aakho kya maasti hai’, dressed in a spectacular red costume……..oooohhh !! That was enchanting!!

Then there was the hottie and bold Priyanka Chopra doing all the hot numbers. I wonder why this sweet girl is suddenly exposing so much and trying to prove that she is the ‘hottest’ in Bollywood Town….guess her latest boy-friend (Shahid K) is a bad influence on her.

Kareena Kapoor’s performance was neat, nice and just Wow !! Trully the Queen of Bollywood !! Except for her hair style which was too straight, her costumes were Fab !! Especially the one in which she wore a black-silver number……….she resembled an Arabian Princess to the T.

The best loved Artist Performance was surprisingly our Sonu Nigam. He started off, with the famous ‘Titanic’ song… “My Heart will go on and on…”. I never knew he cud sing such a top English Song so marvelously…I think infact he sang it better than the original singer. He then went over to Yash Chopra him and dedicated the song 'Eh Meri Johra Jabeen' to him. Then he walked amongst the audience and sang 'Main Hoon Na' with friends Farah Khan and Anu Malik, while our King Khan nostalgically looked on.

Our Shah Rukh is has definitely not got the name ‘King Khan, Baadshah of Bollywood for nothing. He is So So Witty, he can just enthrall his audience with his dialogues, make them roll with laughter or bring tears of appreciation in their eyes. At his wittiest best, when he was asked by Sonu how it felt to be in this industry for so long he replied, "There are two answers. One composed by my wife which is that I am highly obliged to be amongst you all. The other is mine which is that I was born to be a star!".

Sonu also managed to get the ever gorgeous Rekha to sing to Dil Cheez Kya Hai - which she did amazingly well! - and she made him dance to this very song! Dear Rekhaji……….when I was a kiddo, I used to just love to see her and Amitabh together and used to wish they would get married….!!!!!! Anyways……! Let’s Move On Guys…!
