The film is based on the murder of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi which is including depiction in 1984 riots. The film based on a true story focuses on the aftermath of Indira Gandhi’s manslaughter which occurred on 31 October 1984. This story is a Sikh family life of Davinder Singh(Vir Das). They live in Delhi at Janakpuri area. Davinder Singh does work in Delhi electricity office(Old name Desu). In 31 October he goes to the office. In afternoon the news comes radio Indira Gandhi’s Sikh bodyguard shot her. Hearing this news Davinder Singh a goes home. There are very rioting in the city his wife Tajinder Kaur(Soha Ali Khan) come in home and tell outside recently riots. This roughly story in the story of a Sikh family victim. Many Sikhs were targeted and killed in Delhi and other places across India 1984 riots. Riots had very increased. People were killing each other. Burn the vehicle in many places.
