Even after being an academician I still don’t understand how our education system is getting operated by the Zars of it. Are we running education institute or factories which will produce engineers, MBAs and a lot of other type of so called erudite people who will serve the society by the all mugged up knowledge they acquired during their graduation and further studies, we still don’t know how to inculcate the knowledge to innovate into the brains of our students rather than putting them in ultimate pressure and letting them acclimatized with the stressful professional world.
To some extent it is the wish of the students also, most of the time they don’t want to study things to understand the beautiful world full of marvelous things rather they just want to mug up something and just get so called ‘good mark sheet’. Almost two months ago there was a debate from the side of HRD minister kapil sibbal that even after so many years of existence and being one of the best centers of education of the nation why IITs could not produce even a single Nobel laureate, the movie clearly gives an answer.
A bit of Munnabhai, thoda sa(bade) Tare zameen par and at last a bit of Mohabbatien also,
Whatever! It was fantastic; you know what I like the most about rajkumar Hirani even after making movies on almost same theme(love people and not the things around you) that he has the ability to grab the attention of the audiences even by sticking to conventional and clean cinema and even without using so called stars of the industry. Same as the legend called Aamir Khan he understands the value of story and how should it be told. So hats off raju!
Now let us talk about the living legend himself, none of the movie review writer or critique can avoid writing about Aamir Khan in three idiots, even we know that he does not have much of the dominance in the movie and this is perhaps the only thing which grabs attention of all of us. Due to the level of stardom he has, he can grab the movie from every point of view but here comes the dedication and the honesty towards the work which forces him to stress more on the story and the character and not on the number of shots and the use of stardom and he has done it again with 3 Idiots.
Let us talk about the movie now, as I have said earlier also that to me it seems to be a mixture of Munnabhai, tare Zameen par and a bit of mohabbatien, but with a complete new message and a perfect execution of the story. The movie will not let you see your watch and thinking about how much time has passed, rather people will not even try to go for nature’s calls because you don’t when a certain type of emotion or laughter can struck the celluloid and for sure you don’t want to miss it.
Most of the performances were fantastic and Boman Irani was really awesome. I think in terms of acting you can easily give him one of the strongest status in the Bollywood.
The movie does not only talk about the stress filled education system rather it also coveys a message of loving people and how we can change several life by just putting a smile on people’s faces.
The only thing which I didn’t like about the movie is the sporadic use of abusive; I am a bit disappointed with that(only a bit, after considering the plot of the movie which talks about student life).
But at last we can say that it’s a fantastic movie to watch and especially parents and academicians should watch it, it will tell them that it’s easy to force someone to study and ordering to mug up things but the aftermaths are dreadful.
