Amazing just amazing macro visuals of devastation, even if the doomsday is eventual, all of us wont be lucky enough to see the End so vividly:)
The scale and budget of the movie. Some of the most massive sets, like Vatican, White house, Titanic like ship has been made just to show them cracking under rictar waves.
A Sci-fi approach to something which, if occurs, has no solution as of now. Its kind of adaption of bible story where nothing but a boat was saved after doomsday.
CONS:
A movie when the world is yet to come fully out of recession blue, such a big budget is wasted on special effects without even substantiating it with a solid screenplay.
They have Glorified Indians for their discovery of the "causes" behind this doomsday so that indians feel as a part of movie and pour their rupees. Business Sense. isn't it?
They have Glorified Chinese for their manufacturing prowess " Only Chinese can Manufacture it ". neglecting all hue and cry about the labour and human right exploitation. Business Sense. I am sure the movie has been simultaneously released in Mandarin language also.
If even a small percentage of Indians and Chinese will shell out their money, the movie will be blockbuster.
- and worst of all prejudices, Its the American Brain that governs and manages all others. They decide to use the info frm india, manufacturing from china and their president is Great enough to die with the last citizen of USA . funny. isn't it?
And its the story of one family who saves themselves from Doomsday and still they expect their president to be "mashiha of morale". no doubt they cant forgive a president for extra marital, inspite of what all freedoms they misuse in their common life.
where children are shuttled between step fathers and mothers.
- The movie should have a convincing story line. how can wireless networks will be working till the last moment. and who gave the right to a "single man" to be Radio Broadcaster to the whole America!
Do watch the movie for the Special effects and the cost gone behind it.
Do not try finding logic like me.
