Indian melodramatic "marriage"

Story:

Well the only thing that made me read this book is because am an ardent chetan bahgat fan.

The writer definately has a good style of writing which includes his language(which is simple and still reflects sophestication), his way of telling the story, and evrything that you say when you want to want to praise the writer!

THE STORY:

An IITian Krish Malhotra comes to Gujrat to do his IIMA and falls in love with Ananya Swaminathan(obviously they become girlfriend and boyfriend). The "actual" struggle starts when Krish has to go to chennai to convince Ananya's parents. after taking tutions for her brother, making a presentation for her father, dragging her mother into a singing competition and getting her fame! Wanna know the reason why he slogged so much? well, accroding to chetan bhagat, in India, you there are a few more steps in a marriage; they are:1.the girls family has to love boy and the boys family has to love girl 2.the boys family has to love girls family and the girls family has to love boys family(of course boy loves girl and girl loves boy). and after all the above stated "steps" are complete, the story of the loving couple ends with a happy ending called marriage! While going through this pre-marriage struggle, when Krish was ready to propose his girlfriend, he brought 4 boxes of gold rings(one for her of course and rest three for her parents and brother)! beleive me HE DID!

He took out the rings and said "I, Krish Malhotra, would like to marry all of you. Will all of you marry me?"(of course he wont sleep with them).

The next and the predictable scene was Ananya coming to delhi to convince Krish's parents(oh here I mean only his mother cause his father never was a part of the family). well Krish is a'punjabi munda' and her mother is always after him to marry some changae ghar ki soni punjabi kudi but of course he declines all of them cause he loves Ananya. Now Ananya tries her level best to convince his mother by helping her cooking(which ofcourse she doesnt no), and many other things. They were to attend a wedding, Krish insists on taking Ananya so that the other relatives start accepting her and does get his wish fulfilled when Ananya gets the girls-side family out of a big trouble.

Next step is the girls family should love boys family and the boys family should love girls family. But the exact opposite happens. they officially break up. Sad, isnt it? But dont worry, Krish's father settles it all by going to chennai and apologising to the girls family. Beleive it or not but the Krish and Ananya still LOVE each other. Then there is a big fat Indian wedding(wedding between 2states, 2phsycologies, 2customs and 2people of course)

They have 2 twins after 2 years of marriage. They dont belong to either of the states. They belong to the state called INDIA.

What?

Thats it! And did you notice my sense of humour is quite good? well even I didnt know that b4 writing this review. Hope you enjoyed reading this!

Suggestions?
