For someone like me who is very choosy in watching kannada movies at the theaters, First Rank Raju was a pleasant surprise. kudos to all the new comers in the movie. its a bold and calculated risk that has paid off. its a movie about a character who has unlimited knowledge from the book but zero know how about how the world works. In the second half the movie has an interesting take on the way our education system works.
Lead actor Gurunandan is a pleasure to watch, you will enjoy his goofy character more than the stylish one. Apoorva is used just as a glam attraction. supporting cast does their job quite well. Music in the movie complements the story line well. All in all its a good watch for people who aspire for good kannada movies
