Ek Ladakee ko Dekhaa to Aisaa lagaa Jaise ...... Review on 1942 - A Love Story Songs

I** was just surfing my old collection and got something which was very close to my heart in my college days an old Cassatte of this Wonderful Album 1942- A Love Story.

before I start let me tell you some statistics about the Movie  & Album I m talking about.

1942- A Love Story** album have total eight songs to touch ur heart. Blending the beautiful poetry with the backdrop of 1942 is not an easy job for a music director because it must not sound anywhere that its a music of modern times .... believe me RD has done Magical job with his instruments .... he kept the innocense alive in all his songs ... A real justice to the wonderfully written poetry of javed Akhtar.

Ek ladakee ko dekhaa to aisaa lagaa:-Wow amazing lyrics !!! for me it is the height of emotions of a lover, when he first look at her girl ( This song makes u believe in love at first sight)....the song in the voice of Kumar sanu , I think it is the best of kumar sanu ... ( I doubt RD must have missed Kishore da for this song )

one is sad song in Kumar sanu's voice .... kumar sanu has sung  very nicely & specially the ups and downs of pitch as per emotions are very good ....

*The next one is in the voice of Lata ji & chorus .... a very nicely composed the voice of lata ji penetrates deep in the heart with the words make u feel sad...

humane jab dekhe the, sundar komal sapane

fool  sitaare, parabat  baadal  sab lagate the apane

dil ne kahaa choopake se:-**  A Romantic song sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy. If  Ek ladakee ko dekhaa........ is a feeling of a boy in love than this song is a feeling of a girl's heart when she feels it first time ...  In my opinon kavita krishnamurthy is one of the very talented female singers of today's times after Lataji and Ashaji.

rimazim  rimazim  rumazoom  rumazoom :-** this song sung by kumar sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy. A romantic number beautifully composed again ... I love the way this song starts with Santur.......... creates a romantic feeling of rain drops .....

ruthh naa jaanaa tum se kahoo to :-** A naughty song sung by Kumar sanu ... ekraar aur inkaar ke beech ka safar ...  pictuarised in a library makes it so convinsing ... priyatam ko manaanaa.

A very nice expression of feelings with music between Haa ya naa ...

The song potraying hope of tomorrow ... a bit philosophical .. starts with  two deep meaning lines ..

when I m finishing this review let me admit frnakly Romance and Patriotism both shades are my favourates, ths combination of two is u can say a favourate plot for me ... so I may be littlbit biased to judge and why not .............the other two deadly combinations RD Burman and Javed Akhtar are  also there .....

A must have Album for Romance lovers ...
