Amazing horror flick. Review on 13B Movie

I saw 13b yesterday with very low expectations since I was thinking it to be another cheap horror flick but to my utter surprise the first 10 mins of the movie got be hooked into it. I mean this movie has the full potential to be Indias first cult horror-thriller classical movie.

The concept is quite good don't know if its original or not but even otherwise no issues. it goes something like this

A family has moved into a new house and while they are just settling down one or the other bad incidents keep happening which only madavan notices but the other members donot.

Now at this time there is a serial which runs on T.V which the woman folk in the household are hooked into. Now the amazing thing about this serial is that the proceedings of the serial mirrors the real events of familys life, whatever is happening in the serial is one day ahead to what exactly would happen in real life too. Quite scary! The woman folk however donot observe this which is ok since who thinks about these things since one happens to see a dozen odd serials everyday but madhavan who is not interested in watching the usual serial stuff accidently ends up watching the serial and notices the parallel story thats going on in the tube.

As it turns out he makes it a habit to watch the serial and goes crazy thinking about it. One day after watching the serial he comes to know that his friends wife would die of a cylinder blast but after watching it he runs in time to save her. Hence like this he wants to avert every possible threat that would occur to his friends and family in the future.

Just watch this movie to see what happens going forward and the climax has been beautiful shown. In order to get the script of this serial Madavan goes to the studio where the serial is being shot. There to his utter horror he find out that the serial that he has been watching in reality is a talk show and is completely different to the contents that is being aired only on his TV!. Quite spooky!

The movie is as good as any Hollywood flick since the last horror thriller movie that excited me was the cult classic'The ring' which was a rage in the west. this movie reminded of that very movie all the time. I am really proud that our movies have come of age and we have started producing some really good stuff.

The acting by madhavan has the frustrated, crazy guy is superb. well one may say there are a few flaws here and there but all these flaws are not blunders and these can be easily ignored.

All in all this was an edge of the seat thriller horror movie. just go all out and enjoy. just be prepared to get that errie chill down your spine.
