127 Hours - Daanny Boyle's masterpiece

Danny Boyle who brought us movies such as "28 Days Later" and "Slumdog Millionaire" was the reason that dragged me to this movie "127 Hours".

The movie shows a story of Aaron Ralston(James Franco) a young and enthusiastic canyoneer exploring beautiful sights of Utah in summer break gets his hand trapped under a rock while climbing down a hill. Despite being based on a true story it is bit tedious to follow the character at a single location for a long time. Aaron run through his wild imaginations and hallucinates due to the scarcity of water and food.

The screenplay and cinematography were impeccable as it involved the viewer in it making them to think what would be their reactions if got stuck in a same situation. The movie depicts optimism in the context of one's life. It's Aaron's will to stay alive which help him not to give up.

I think the part of the movie that moved me the most actually occurred after the climax, where we see Ralston, broken, desperate, and willing to end his lone-wolf mentality for good. The emotions felt during the last 5 minutes signify human triumph, perseverance, and the power of the human spirit. Incredible movie.
