Supreme court judgement on Bihar. Review on ______

Today Supreme court has given its judgment on Bihar Assembly dissolution. The apex court has said it was unconstitutional. It is a landmark decision in the history of independent India. However the apex court has decided not to interfere with the ongoing electoral process because once started this process can not be stopped.

This judgment has come after fresh elections have been announced in Bihar and all the political parties are busy in campaigning. Has it come before announcement of fresh elections, the people of Bihar could have been spared of the election burden. Much blood shed could have been avoided and many precious lives could have been saved.

This landmark decision of Apex court is a slap right on the face of the ruling congress party. After emergency by Indira Gandhi, never democracy in India has been played with like this government is doing. First it was Goa where president rule was imposed after dismissing the ruling BJP, then it was Jharkhand where a person with dirty criminal background was made CM even when his party did not have majority. Well, after much uproar and wide spread criticism, NDA was invited to form government in Jharkhand and they did.

However the case in Bihar was utterly disgusting. After lot of confusion a government was to form and Nitish Kumar had gathered the much needed support. Buta Singh said in a press conference that there is no chance of a government formation in Bihar. Few days later he recommended dissolution of the assembly. It was all done as if the centre had decided no government other than that of Laloo can be formed.

So people would now say what Boota and company did in Bihar is a black spot on the democratic face of our country.

Now, after apex court judgment, NDA has got a shot in the arm while Congress is in awkward position. In north India, Congress has become totally crippled and such acts will make it weaker. Go to Bihar and people will say that Boota Singh is nothing but a Laloo agent. He transferred C.K Anil, S.P. of Siwan because this valiant S.P. tried to arrest Sahabuddin, a known criminal and political ally of Laloo. Administration in Bihar is being geared up to favor Laloo in the forthcoming election and Boota is doing every thing to help Laloo.

Well, the educated class in Bihar and those who wanted this state to improve tried their level best to oust Laloo . However the central government disappointed them. Laloo has set his cards cleverly this time. Boota has provided him an administration which supports his terror campaign! May be in the forthcoming election Laloo comes with flying colours. It means the one heroic effort from the people of Bihar will be completely wasted! It is a great loss to people of Bihar.

Well, after this judgment, what will happen-

Congress will find a Bali ka bakara and Boota Singh is right there. He will be forced to resign. Boota Singh is not a loser too. In his Bihar term , he would have amassed huge money and for the people like him money is much, much important than anything else. People will remember him as a corrupt person, and inept governor but he made money and that is all. What punishment is suitable to him! The worst you think cut he will not be punished at all. He will only be recalled.

The fresh election will cost thousand of crore of rupee. It is sheer waste of public money. Who will pay for this?

Many lives will be lost in the fresh elections. Who will pay for these?

Bihar could have got rid of Laloo and his goons, but now who will pay for this.

For such grave misconduct will a single politician ever be punished. The answer is a big NO.

For political parties it is a game only. Yes they can play with our democracy, with our sentiments, with our money and even with lives. However, on a misconduct, only a Bali ka bakara is enough to make amends!

It all depicts the state of democracy in India!
