India - A country whose constitution is based on liberty, equality and fraternity ideology of French revolution...A democratic (worlds largest ) and a secular country...
India - where it wont matter how much marks/score you have. Where merit takes a second seat to Caste!!! Is this equality?? Is this Secularism??? Is this Democracy??
What am I talking about? the present government's decision to ENFORCE quota even in IIMs and IITs!!!!!
After 59 years of enforcing reservation, why dont people understand, that merit should be the only reason to get selected and not anything else....
A third class graduate, who passes MBBS on 9 attempts, gets the Post graduate seat of his choice, not because his dad drives a Ford and a Maruti, but because he was born in a caste which comes in Reservation Quota....
A real studios graduate, who always was amongst the top10 in his class, studies MBBS on a scholarship because he hails from a poor brahmin's family, yet doesnt get into Post graduate seat of his choice,, even though he has much more marks than the previous fellow could even dream of!! why??? because he was born in a caste which does nt come in Reservation Quota....
India's success lies in india's brains... not in the votes its government generates on dividing everyone on basis of caste..
Let not caste or birth be a factor to select an individual... To allow and accept this is to shoot our forward moving country's progress right in the heart!!
I moved to the US, just because I could not change the scenario, I have seen it just worsen and it simply bleeds my heart all the more........
This system has to change, no matter what...
