I booked VRL travels for a trip to Goa from Bangalore on Oct 2, 2012.  I had booked AC sleeper since I was carrying a 9-month old baby along with me.  Firstly, my pickup point was Madiwala at 7 PM.  When I reached Madiwala, I saw that a non-AC sleeper bus was waiting, and VRL personnels said it ...Read more

I have read most of the reviews here and was surprised to see the negative feedback for Manhattan credit card.  I assume that most of the people cribbed here about Manhattan are first time credit card users. I started using credit card from ICICI around 5 years back, and it was sick. If there...Read more

Excellent review. I call it excellent, because I also faced the same problem - modem overheated after 2 hours of use and short circuited during a power outage. The technician blamed my home wiring and asked me to pay Rs.200 for repair for short-circuited modem.

This is some advertisement from HR or some HR recruitment company for CGI. I was in CGI and I know how CGI is. Though CGI is an MNC (as given in the review, it is Montreal based), I never felt any MNC work culture. I always felt like I was working for some greedy Indian boss. Work is pathe...tic. CGI hardly has any development work, otherwise it is support work. Even the so-called development projects are really nothing but enhancements to existing code. You cannot find any architecture, design, or documentation. God alone knows how CGI is CMMI-5. Layoff is not common, but it happens. A bunch of people working on older technologies were laid off last year in Bangalore office. The company took advantage of recession and cut down all the benefits including salary revision. There was no salary revision in April 2009. With increased attrition, HR announced salary revision in August, but did not do until December. One of my team member got just 2% salary revision in December 2009 after a long waited salary revision. Other benefits on food and transportation were also cut down during recession time. CGI is good only for freshers, but not for experienced. I was pissed off to see that the security was shouting on me for talking over mobile phone in the parking slot. This is the respect you get in the company.Read More
