Nice Review. Even I thought its a recycled new-age trash for quick-buks... but its not. Once could feel that his words comes from his experinece and makes references to other spiritual ooks to bring home the point. For me he is simplified version of J Krishnamurthy Its genuine spiritual book.

nice review. Chetan writes pulp fiction , and I am not undermining him.Pulp fiction has always been great source of entertainment in regional languages . fast , trashy. On 2 states, i think I should have kept my mind aside like his all other novels. some of his comments was too racial to take i...t 'sportive' Read More

I havent read this book except browsing through it in bookstores... for non - IIM guys.. its bit disheartening. Felt that this book boasts about who have good start in IIM. Some body should come up with real success stories of underdogs like Lakshmi Mittal , Kalam and a few other who are not from 'b...ig' school and made it to topRead More

Hi Sajit, Thanks for the comment on my post. May be I expected too much from this novel. Not only got disappointed but disgusted at some places. Yeah.As you said, his take on sex is for only "privileged" few I always liked CB for the intention and message . Even in this nov...el ’’dont elope , but convince’’ was good. But his book promotion interview on national integration was over the top gimmick and preachy in my view. Anyways this is my first and last review on CB fiction. Next time i will see what message he comes up with and be content with it. Thanks again for the comments. RRead More

hi sayanti thanks for visiting my post. replies to #3 . I have clearly mentioned which parts were arrogant.I have right to say what i feel. Also as tamilian I can say he has stereotyped a lot.calling somebody’s feeling ridiculous is equally ridiculous. #4. I dont entertain cocky/a...rrogant attitude in my post.please stop personal statements like ’’so growup...’’ and ’’if u r deprived of this emotion’’ etc. know the limits here . I am new to MS and you have already spent many years here.I dont think i need to teach this i couldn’t find aesthetic sense to sex described in this book, so i called it as softporn.that is my taste. #5. for me remix is pseudo-art , its my limitation. I am not going to review this product neither from literary point of view , nor going to complain that it has Bollywood plot, because the author accepts his literary limitations and writing a Bollywood in his work. I still have some respect for CB due to his nonfictional works, hope it lasts. You can’t completely agree or disagree with somebody on all aspects you know…

I wanted to write a separate review for this product but it doesn’t deserver to be my first post on mouth shut. So I want to pass it on as a comment to hermit's review. 2 states - formulaic story with comedy, romance, sex, new age and some rona dhona: typical flick lit from CB factory. CB is not ...that dumb not to find pattern in his own novels... he is just pandering to his customers (readers) Have some fun: Chetan Bhagat plot generator http://www.chutneycase.com/2010/03/chetan-bhagat-plot-generator.html I wanted to like this movie ( sorry book... oops novel) but extreme overdose of sex / porn every thrid page ( sex sells baby..and his tweets are also having same trend these days.No I am not moral policing nor i am a saint) and some derogatory comments on tamilians made me hate this novel and sometimes CB for that matter. Bollywood itself is moving away from masala and he has jumped in bit late... any ways his fans are happy. Very unrealistic: 1. Ananya's traditional tambrahm parents allow her to take cocktail but dead against marrying a Punjabi boy 2. Ananya's paretns allow Krish to conduct tuition for Manju, in spite of knowing that their daughter is his girlfriend, and they are dead against it. 3. Blackmailing boss... oh really CB Not only he equated Kekta Kapoor and Shakespeare but calls himself belonging to the tradition of Munshi Premchand and Dickens. He also made a statement 'If you dont accept CB you are not indian'.. Lets us forgive him.. Seems somebody provoked him and he reacted to it. Artist will always have critics and can’t please all the readers, that is the truth. He know his readers very well (16 to 25ish) and delivering them entertainment with his own strength (comedy / humors) and weakness (stereotypes) CB, make fun of characters in your novel not the community (probably that is your literary limitation)Read More
