Just to put the records straight, after repeatedly complaining to Honda about these problems, they finally accepted that there were genuine problems with the carburettor, speedometer console, gear box and the catalyst which definitively resulted in these problems. They have replaced all these parts ...at no additional cost to me and now the bike is running as smooth as makkhan :D Though the average is a little on the lower side (50kmpl) but I'm ok with that as the bike has done just about 3000 kms. Hopefully the same will increase after another 2000 kms and once the remaining free servicing are done. So, for all those who had mentioned that Unicorn is the best bike and nothing can ever be wrong with it blah blah blah...please be informed that no 2-wheeler manufacturer claims to produce 100% defect-free bikes all the time and one should criticize products & services when it is due.Read More

@contact_aravind: I haven't faced the misfiring problem in cold start. But your point is accepted. I've heard of this problem from other Unicorn riders. @titujohn: Thanks for your suggestion. I'll try another service station next time. But mileage is really poor. @kiran_nitks, @smart62535: Tha...nks for the link, I've already lodged a complaint with Honda.Read More

@vv_ajay: Grow up bro', be more creative, your taunts are so prehistoric. Anyways, when I said it 'moves back' I meant that when you speed the bike beyond 40kmph, it starts vibrating and dragging, and then suddenly stops with a jolt, making you feel as if its moving back. @contact_aravind: Fault ...with the fuel gauge still remains. No issues with power per se, but acceleration does become an issue beyond 40kmph. I've checked the mileage as follows (as told by Kothari mechanics): Whenever the fuel level reaches reserve, note the km reading (say A), fill 1 litre and check the reading again when the fuel level reaches reserve (say B). Now B-A is kmpl. If this is not the right way to measure, pls suggest the right way. @Dinzaach82: Thanks a lot for the suggestion, I'll get it checked at Pashankar Auto. @BhaiRulz: I have tried other Unicorns and I'm happy with their performance although I maintain that Unicorn is pricey and spare parts availability is an issue. This review is about my bike only and hence do not generalize it. As far as riding between 35-40kms is concerned, the roads and traffic do not allow higher speeds in this part of the town. At max 50kmph. Besides, I'm not a speed-crazy maniac. I love to ride at cruising speed.Read More

I bought Honda Unicorn from Kothari Honda on Wakdewadi Road in Pune in Mar'08. Looks-wise while this bike was ok (compared to Pulsar/ Apache), it was definitely expensive. However, on my friend's suggestions (this was to be my first bike ever) I bought this bike after taking test rides. Howev...Read more
