Hyundai i20 2012 Sportz 1.4 CRDI

I am assuming it is a new car. Give it some time to settle in. My i20 Magna (Petrol) 2009 model has run 80,000 kms so far. Initial days, the mileage was around 10.5 in Mumbai city. It picked up after 6000 kms to around 12.5 Post 20,000 kms, mileage increased to 13.5 in city (Bangalore, this ti...me & moderate traffic) I then switched over to Shell normal petrol & was getting consistently 14.5 kmpl (My daily run was 60 kms) I changed to Shell Helix Ultra Engine oil after 50K, and mileage increased to 16 in my daily run. (AC 75%, mostly on 1). Highways generally 17.5 at regular speeds of 100/110. I drove once at 80 (2200 rpm) for a 384 km highway trip & topped up to get 21.67 kmpl (17.72 litres consumed, 100% ac at 1) It is very sensitive to the correct rpm. For best mileage, shift gears at 2000 rpm, and keep it below 2500 rpm while coasting (80 - 90 on 5th gear). Also switch off at long signals. It is a very efficient engine, if driven right. Read More

Dear skumar7777, I took possession on 2nd December, 2010. I was among the first few buyers to take possession. Sobha guys do not give you the kitchen platform. I got my modular kitchen fixed from Sleek Kitchen/Hypercity in 10 days time. Before possession, visually inspected the house and... found couple of tiles irregularly laid, scratches on bedroom door, torn mosquito mesh, etc My observations were addressed in a week’s time. Also, there were few issues – a leaking wall opposite one of the bedroom wash basin and cracks on one of the bedroom walls. This was brought to the engineer incharge’s notice and rectified in 2-3 days time. That bedroom wall was done later as one of the crane’s support arms was affixed there during the construction. The builder has given us a well equipped Gym, swimming pool and club house. He has shied away from giving the promised tennis court due to sharing of CA site with government. I believe this is under discussion with our resident’s ad-hoc association and builder as of date. I am currently out of the country and not abreast with the latest happenings there. However, there is an active commonfloor community and the near 400 strong residents have been actively working out issues with the builder and sorting out common issues between us. That’s the advantage of living in an apartment complex ? The site is pretty far from shops – the nearest being safal market which is a km away. Hopefully, things will change pretty soon as more developments are promised in the area. The weather here is fantastic. Morning temperatures are 3-4 degrees below Marthahalli and Bangalore (Courtesy my car’s outside temperature indicator). Winter mornings are around 10C; occasionally mist engulfs the area completely. Even though the place is not far from Big Bazaar or Whitefield, you need to depend on your car for everything. In return, live in a Hill Resort environment! Read More

Hi Gegonbones, Dipesh, mine is a 1.2 ltr petrol car - Magna. Service in Bangalore is ok. Advaith Hyundai is near the place I stay, and I found their service satisfactory. Modi Hyundai in Goregaon, Mumbai was very good. Didnt get a chance to check out the service center in Thrissur. Amit, C...ongrats on your purchase. Over time, you will be able to access and evaluate your car rather than getting half baked facts from elsewhere. Thanks for the info. I will be taking her for the 4th service next week.
