Hi Samson, It depends on the traffic and the way you drive. I drive daily at non traffic time and it’s a straight road. So I get an avg of 16kmpl. If you are driving your car in high traffic area then I think 12 to 14kmpl is normal. I just gave my car for 2nd service and I feel the mileage has incre...ased slightly. I however need to check the coming months. I just checked my mobile app where I keep a track of monthly fuel efficiency. I have got more mileage when I got the car. Details from the application based on individual fuel refill Best 19.77 kmpl Worst 9.27 kmpl Avg 16.73 kmpl Details based on Monthly FE: Nov 2011: 16.69 Dec 2011: 16.97 Jan 2012: 15.54 Feb 2012: 16.81 Mar 2012: 16.08 Apr 2012: 17.81 May 2012: 16.56 Jun 2012: 15.38 These are as per the actual calculation by the application. The one showing in the car is not accurate. It is always different from the actual FE. You will find the FE in the car more than the actual FE. However that is very useful to know apx figure since the diff is not too much. I think you are getting less mainly due to traffic. If that is not the case then wait for some more time and have it checked with the service center. If possible check your mileage in highway too. If you get above 20 kmpl with 80 – 90 kmph then there should not be anything wrong with your car.Read More

Hi Samson, It is more of a personal choice. However I would recommend you Dynamic for the additional safety features like ABS available. I think these are a must for every car. Height adjustment is also a must if regular height of Active model is not comfortable. Driving becomes a pain if you are no...t comfortable with your seating, especially in a city like Bangalore where you constantly change gear.Read More

Hi mkatyal, I had no issues with them so far. But when comparing them with Maruti & Hyundai then not great. I owned a Maruti and was not satisfied with the vehicle service at times. However, the customer service was exceptional that made me go back to them. You cant find the same with TASS. Now ther...e FIAT is planning to start their own service center and hope things will change. One advantage of FIAT is the service interval (@5000 km - 1 st general checkup and next is @ 15000 km - the actual service) So far 9000km and no issues. Punto is definitely a good car, but there are others too. Look what is your top priority and at the same time that has other desired qualities. My priorities were: 1. Fuel Type / Economy- Should be diesel and need to be min of 15km/l (monthly fuel expense musnt be more than Rs4000. I drive daily so there is no point of buying a great car and not able drive it because of the increasing fuel price.) 2. Budget – Around 6 - 7L (max I could afford ) 3. Looks - (I dint want a great car that makes me unhappy because of the looks) 4. Performance - (I don’t like exerting myself while driving my car, so it should have decent performance that makes driving pleasurable.) 5. Comfort - (I don’t want to get back pain or any other pain driving my car) How Punto fared in these: 1. I get a FE of 16km/l on daily use and 20 – 24km/l on highway. (Extremely satisfied) 2. Bought my Punto for 6L. (Extremely satisfied) 3. I love the looks so much that I feel like owning a Ferrari (Extremely satisfied) 4. It is very good while I am driving alone, but when full I wish it had more power. (Satisfied) 5. This is one area where I am not happy. Mainly because of my height, I am not able to find a comfortable seating position. I have to sit close to fully press the clutch. Active variant does not have height adjustment, but during test drive I drove an emotion variant with height adjustment and felt comfortable). (Not satisfied).Read More

I didn't know much about cars and Alto is the only car I can speak since I owned one. Other cars were just a short distance drive that I can really comment about. Now with this experience I started my research. Sources were from team-bhp, mouthshut, fiat forum, YouTube and googled many more. ...Read more
