I would quite not agree. I myself have been advised on very good investments, by my bankers, Citibank. I have a 2yr old son, and I wanted to some investments for him. I approached my banker Citibank for it, for some FD+MF investment, and they rather told me of a complete financial plan for Arun, my ...son. This is specifically a child plan, and specifically secures my child's future. And not just that, it is 100% guaranteed. I think it’s a great plan. I started the plan last year, and am very glad for this investment. No Insurance + MF option gives the assured return like here, and ensures that the money I am planning for my child comes to him, guaranteed. And this is an equity investment. Here in case I die, all future premium payments will be done by Birla Sun Life Insurance, so that the SIP investment into the plan don't stop even after I die. This is after the co. also pays for the death to the family. I have started investment of about 20k monthly in this plan. I would strongly recommend this to all parents who wish to secure their child's future. And getting guarantee on equity investment is certainly the icing on the cake. %0d%0aI have received timely and good advice from my banker, and am extremely happy with the service quality.%0d%0aAs I have understood, only ULIPs can give me guarantee while giving equity investment. All tax free - on the equity, as also the debt component.
