Not being a computer expert, I am not in a position to explain in detail. It should suffice for you to know that the PC could not send emails, all programmes will not perform, many would close due to faults, etc. etc. The error log had hundreds of entries which I do not understand. Just imagine a co...mputer on which you cannot even play solitair!The clock would not budge from Jan 1, 2003.One could not even write a letter in 'word' because it will close unexpectedly. This was the position after 5 months of repairs. And when HP decided it should be taken to workshop. There are dozens of reports by the visitng mechanics who attempted repairs. Some viruses and Trojans got in because the anti-virus/fire wall would not work. The most important thing to ask HP is why did they sell a repairable PC for the price of a new one. And why should a customer have the responsibilty to get a new PC repaired. It was like buing a Merc. car which would not move. Any good company would replace such a product on day one.
