Update - Enjoying the TV. No problems so far...
@suresh4everyone - most of the HD setboxes are capable of handling 3D video. Its just the matter of time DTH providers update the firmware to enable 3D feature. Will wait....
@mr.ordinary - I am not using wireless dongle instead I have conn...ected ethernet cable to TV from router. I am able to browse and use most of the features, youtube app has been updated and able connect my you tube account from TV now. However it fails to play youtube videos with video commercials embedded in it. I haven’’t reported this to LG yet, neither checked if its corrected in last couple of months.
@aditgupta - Please keep us posted on home theatre choice. I have considered Onkyo HT, however got varied experience when I auditioned it in shops. Not to mentioned the setups were really not professional. However need to zero in on the model, audition and purchase it from a reputed shop...Read More

For about a year I was thinking of buying a new TV. My home has been TV free for quite some time. However as Kids were growing up there were expectations to have TV at home at least for limited watching.
Must Have features:
. 1. 42” Screen Size

· 3. Full HD...Read more

Thanks for the review. I am also in the market for HD box. After my experience with Dish TV, will try and avoid dealing with them. Anyway, Tatasky HD is or 2500 something. Big TV you get HD DVR (best feature I would say) for 4990. Dishtv support (call support as well as dealers) sucks big time after... the purchase is over. Quality wise, I doubt if there is any difference. I am inclining towards Tata sky for exclusive cbeebies channel. However I will wait till current dishtv subscription gets over and may be in the meantime tatasky will introduce HD DVR :)

I fully agree. Dishtv has terrible service. Their customer service people are sorry from the minute you call them as they already know that they can’t solve your problem :)
Anyway, just live with the basic equipment you have invested in for now, find a right time/offer to upgrade and ditch the ...dish ;)
BTW, you can get the dish fixed from any of the appliance store guy for cheap. Don;t waste time and energy by calling the dishtv customer service ’’Not Worth It’’.Read More
