It actually depends on your requirement. I'm guessing that you don't 'game' a lot.So a Sempron would be good enough. But the point is that you'll get an AMD 64bit processor+motherboard for a little more money which would be worth it in the long run. Especially if Microsoft comes up with a 64 bit OS ...(Longhorn) and a new developing platform. Go for the 754 socket motherboard (Asus/MSI/Gigabyte) and a 2800+ 64 bit. You'll get both for around 10k. You'll get onboard graphics/sound based on the motherboard you buy.Read More

Nice review mate. The only new bike missing was the GLX125 from TVS. Is it available in Nepal ? Since you considered the YBX, how about the Wind 125 and Ambition in the next review ?

Splendor - 12 kmpl ? Centra 144 kmpl ? Have you ever heard of checking mileage on a 'reserve to reserve' basis. You're obviously checking mileage based on your fuel gauge which is probably nuts.

Well, you say you're not biased. But look at it. First thing is that you've posted the review in the wrong section. Second thing is that even in your first review about the Fiero FX, you've written a whole para about how bad the Pulsar is. Same thing here. Why? Some personal grudge against Pulsar? ... You say that the engine is not durable. But that depends on how you ride it. Your engine life is directly proportional to the rpm you use it in. I know a lot of Pulsar owners who have used their bikes for more then 30000 kms and without accidents. Do you mean to say that there are no Accidents on other bikes ? Besides look at the RX100. 12BHP from 100cc. Even the RXZ. 14BHP from 135cc. Great bikes. I'm not praising the Pulsar. Its not very stable at high speeds , bad gearbox ...etc. But its not as bad as you think. People don't spend more than fifty thousand rupees just for 'looks' of the bike.Read More

Your review was BANG ON TARGET. Seriously. But now, the CT100 is selling like hot cakes and has recently overtaken Splendor in the monthly sales. Maybe, people are growing brains. Can't imagine why HH bikes are so much more expensive and people still buy them .

You were right that this was the first bike in the 125cc segment. But it failed cause it didn't have enough mileage and enough power. So you were getting the bad out of both worlds.

You see, have you read the first para of the review carefully? I have specified that you cannot compare cross genre games. Because I like strategy games better than racing games, I can say that Warcraft 3 is better than NFSUG. But this comparision cannot be done. So NFS is out of the question. BTW, ...diver , did'nt you read the title of the review ??!?! Next, Max Payne and POP are action games but not exactly FPS (First Person Shooters) because the view is not first person. So is Hitman. Hitman has more of stealth and strategy and as I said is not a 'legend'. Furthermore, ANY review in this SITE is personal.Read More

4. Quake Series It was a brave move by id software to dump their then popular Doom series and go for a new Quake series. They had to fight off a huge number of popular 3-D games made by Apogee like Duke Nukem 3D,Rise of the Triad and other games like Hexen,Heretic,Blood etc. But with the release ...of Quake, id software blew off all other 3D games. As usual, their technology and development was phenomenal compared to the other 3D games. For the first time, lighting seemed realistic in the game. The shadows were drawn for each object and the brightness was increased when light passed near the object. Also, for the first time, buttons had to be touched to be activated. No need to use spacebar to open doors. They opened automatically when you approached. Then came Quake 2 which murdered good games like Sin,Blood 2 and Unreal. For the first time, a graphics API called OpenGL made by Silicon Graphics was used in the game. This gave fantastic lighting effects and scare factor to the game. More than that, this was where the graphics cards revolution was started. OpenGL & Direct 3D rendering used the chip on the graphics card and here's where manufactures like ATI,Voodoo,Rendition,S3 and NVidia started the graphics cards War. For years to come, Quake 2 was the benchmark for these cards. Then id software changed over to fragging with the release of Quake 3 Arena. This game was ground breaking as far a graphics, player modelling, weapon modelling and Arena modelling was concerned. It lost out slightly to UT because it did not have game modes like Domination and Assault. But it rode high on the popularity of the previous Quake 2 and its popularity in gaming competitions. Its popularity over LAN is still hard to match. Read More

Actually, writing a review in this section is quite difficult. How do you define'best games'? You see, if we take a short period of time, like one year, we can compare games in terms of graphics, sound, gameplay, hardware requirements and other quantifiable ways. But how can you compare 2 games ...Read more

First of all, you haven't written about the Enticer. That's useless. Next, about the scooters you mentioned .... these scooters may have around 130 to 150cc but the amount of brake horse power (BHP) they generate is lesser compared to the bikes. Furthermore, having automatic gears (centrifuga...l clutches) and smaller tyres due to which they are not very fuel efficient. But they are extremely convinient to ride around in the city especially for women. Furthermore, any bike having more than 10 BHP is NOT a moped. It has enough power and fuel efficiency to beat any scooter. A bike having less than 10 BHP is not meant for power ... but only for mileage ... and it is NOT a moped.Read More
