Vaild points made Dinesh, essentially we are making the same points. It is high time the courts and the govt. come out with some guidelines in news reporting in general. It is not only the news channels, media. Severe action should be taken for violation of the code prescribed. It really depresses a...nd people are made to believe that only bad happens in India. Take the case of the Gujarat massacre, now the SIT has come out with their observation that Teesta Setvald mislead the country with her reporting and activism. She was one time the darling of the media. This is something unacceptable and this is very much in concern of the National Security and Integrity. Hope the govt. and the courts come out with the guidelines and take a tough stance of this blatant and utter nonsense spewed out.Read More

@Dinesh. Thank you for your comments! I really think that we (the viewers) to send a barrage of mails and create forums on the net etc... to expose this menace. It is not only all the above, most of the news channels are funded by from abroad and that makes it worse in the areas of communalism an...d secular agendas.
