FYKI, I am not driving in highways to reach 120 KM/hr. In city, there is no point about power comfort. In city traffic, the high you could reach is 50 km/hr. If i10 is able to squeeze 11 or 12 KM/Ltr, it is still OK. When Hyundai claims ARAI mileage of 20.1KM/Ltr but if it gives mileage in single di...gits, then comes the serious concern. i10 can be a good vehicle in abroad, as you said, because there will not be much traffic like in India, and hence the mileage would be decent / cost effective. In India, the mileage of other cars in the same segment are better than i10. Atleast you get 11 or 12 KM/Ltr but not in single digit. Anyway, I have just got back my car after 1st service (waited for the engine to set). Will re-check the mileage and inform you all. If it gives 12 KM/Ltr, I would be happy.Read More

I am travelling 15 KMs for one way to office (Velachery to Sholinganalloor); and the same distance covered for returning home. Totally 30 KM per day with AC minimally ON. Only in the morning time, I switch on the AC for about 3 KMs to 5 KMs per day (roughly 20% AC on during my travel). I have one mo...re colleagues who face the same problem. I have recently purchased a new i10 1.2L Magna. The car is good in quality by built but the mileage is pathetic. I am getting just 9 KM in Chennai City with just 50% of AC on. I am waiting for my first service to get over so that I could expect at least 1 KM more.

I have recently purchased a new i10 1.2L Magna. The car is good in quality built but the mileage is pathetic. I am getting just 9 KM in Chennai City with just 50% of AC on. I am waiting for my first service to get over so that I could expect at least 1 KM more. If anyone looking for a small i10 kind... of car for City drive, better consider some other cars like Honda Brio or Maruti Ritz. Hyundai is really cheating us with ARAI figures which would come closer if you drive on highways.Read More
