A colleague recently got a new I20 diesel top spec with the 2 airbags and 4 disc brakes, ABS with EBD etc. It also has DRLs which apparently are copied from Audi but look quite Korean. I found that having my Yeti fog lamps acting as DRLs on last week's wet and rainy drive to Ooty, a good plus point... because people can see you better. While DRL's per se, maybe more useful in cold and dark conditions which are not so common here, I think they are a 'nice to have' but not really a 'must have' in India. Here, somehow, they come across as a bit 'gimmicky'.Read More
