Tata Indicom - Surf 3000

I guess you are referring to the free software from the Indicom site called 'Speedplus' that compresses all images and data so that less actual data are downloaded. I've had speedplus from the 3rd day after I got the Plug2Surf modem and I must say that there's not a big difference at all. I have eve...n tested disabling speedplus and seeing if it made d/l slower, but there really wasn't much of a noticeable difference. Still an average d/l speed of 2-3 kbps with or without speedplus. And I need to point out that the Indicom dialler shows a constant 5 bars of signal strength, so obviously signal strength is not the cause for my eternally slow internet experience with the Tata Indicom Plug2Surf USB modem.Read More

Yeah I too got a call today from a Tata Indicom rep saying I was over my 1.5GB for Rs.900/month plan. I've only had this service for 3 weeks and haven't even received a single bill yet and a 'credit dept' rep i-s calling me? I asked to speak with her manager but she hung up on me! Damn!~
