Check the mileage by topping up the petrol... if you are going by the fuel gauge, please read my review. I've explained the fuel gauge issue there. I was told by my dealer, Unicorn Motors in Bangalore and they seem to be right.

Getarungd, IMHO this will always be the case. Most of these bikes have petrol tank on top of the engine, hence under your seat. This ensures petrol will always be there in the carb (gravity). In case of front fuel loads, this won't happen. The petrol is pumped up into the carb every time. Once th...e bike rests overnight, some petrol does evaporate and hence it doesn't start as there isn't sufficient fuel in the carb, kick start forces the pump for the petrol to kick in and send fuel to carb. Two or three times is sufficient for it to start working. I experience this problem in the morning too.Read More

My mileage is around 42 km/ltr. Like I said, the fuel meter is only for the main tank and only covers 2 or 2.5 liters. My wife uses the bike for commuting to office and in bangalore traffic conditions, the mileage is pretty good. I honestly don’t know why you have such low mileage. I would ask the m...echanic at the service center to tune for mileage in that case... Also check the mileage by topping up the petrol each time, please don't rely on the fuel gauge.Read More

First off, i10 is much better than Zen Estilo. Yes, it is more expensive to maintain as compared to any of the Maruti variants. Yes, then Zen Estilo, A Star, Ritz, etc have a newer engine. My i10, IRDE, gives me a mileage of 12 kmpl in city with AC, 18 kmpl on Highway. There are no mods or chan...ges to my car except the stereo (which you expect from everyone). The car is easy to drive, smooth handling and other than the normal servicing after a light teething issue, my car has required nothing more. Every i10 owner I know pretty much loves this car. I live in Bangalore (becoming very notorious for its traffic) and do spend quite a bit of time in 1st and 2nd gear, but again, no issues so far. 20,000 km on the odometer and counting. You can check my review for the car somewhere in the 172 or click on my user id for faster access. Also, my dealer (Trident) goes the extra mile. They call to remind me of my next service and even provide pickup and delivery for Rs. 100. They have taken very good care of my baby while it was in their hands. I'm really lucky to have such TLC from them.Read More

I bought a Black Mahindra Rodeo SYM about a month back.  This is the first time I'm submitting a review this quick, but I've done all the experiments and the bike has passed with ease.  I actually bought this bike for my wife to use for commuting to office and back.  She has a tendency to ignore...Read more

My IRDE 1.1 i10 is giving me about 14 kmpl without AC and 11 - 12 with AC. If you are located in Bangalore, getting in touch with Advaith near Cantonment. They will definitely have a solution for you.

I bought the i10 at a time when most people didn't know it existed. :-) When my wife and I decided to go for a car, we really didn't know what to get. We had 3 things on our minds: 1) comfort for all passengers and the driver (ME!) 2) Good mileage, not wallet shrinking and 3) Decent to good pick...Read more

I seriously doubt you have ever ridden a bullet, let alone owned one. I'm a city guy, through and through, and find no bike as comfortable or as stable as my bullet. I've owned and ridden several bikes (Pulsar, Ambition, Fiero, Caliber, Caliber 115, Samurai, CBZ, and Max 100) which belonged to my ...friends. I tried a bullet once and lost my heart. The mileage might not be great, the oil might leak, and you have to be careful with the battery. But, I never got a backache after riding in the city roads for a couple of hours like other bikes. I don't need to stop and let the engine cool, I don't need to stop and stretch my back to get rid of the pain. This bike is as close to my heart as my wife. Don't crticize what you don't know.Read More
