Abe Saurabh! Tu yahan kahan se aa gaya. Initially i was confused who this Saurabh is but then i noticed your signature - Enigma :) Let's connect whenever you have some time. Others - In case you feel that i am working at SCB and this is a paid review - chill! I work at a prominent software firm a...nd a an of experimenting with several cards - all belonging to different banks. However, it really got on my nerves on seeing the kind of reviews people posted without even having a basic understanding of the do's and don'ts on how to use ANY credit card, so thought of taking some time to write this, as basic usage patterns of all cards remain the same. In case you still need to know the benefits of any other card feel free to post to this thread. I'll be happy to post a review on that one as well. My closing comments - follow if you will or ignore if you must.Read More

Koshyis - you are right about the 35 paise point but then i personally believe in the fact that every card should be used for the right purpose. With the Standard Chartered Bank card, i always prefer transactions which generate cash back and these are pretty easily done month on month on utility bil...ls, recharges and across all petrol pumps. I am not saying that citibank card is bad, but it always contrains me as the only place i can generate cashback is either at grocery stores on Indian Oil + Citibank COMBO petrol pumps (which i believe are hard to find :). That being said, try the SBI range of cards which give 5% worth of cash points on all grocery spends and if you happen to lay your hands on the SBI Signature , you will 5% cash points on grocery as well as 5% cash points on all dining areas (read restaurant's).Read More

I have been reading a lot of negative reviews about SCB cards and personally though - I can be indifferent to them, yet it pains me to see at how ill - informed the users of these cards are. They simply lack basic fundamental information that they need to make full payments for their cards ev...Read more

I would describe this review as 'lack of appropriate information'. The card in itself is good but the user does not know properly how to maximize its benefits. 1. 750 is an yearly free for Standard Chartered Titanium card - True, something you cannot do anything about and cess will be charged on ...it too. It is therefore NOT a free card. But that being said, this card offers a cashboack of upto Rs. 500 EVERY month provided you use it for the right transactions which are listed below: A. 5% cash back on all utility bills B. 5% cash back on all prepaid mobile payment ( including mobile recharges) C. 5% cash back on fuel refills on ANY station using any machine - of which 2.5% is a surcharge reversal and the remaining 2.5% is actual cash back on fuel. On top of that, there are points credited, for every 150 rupees spent. You just need to know which card to use for what transaction. Also, if you do not pay the full bill of any month and pay only the minimum amount due, YOU WILL BE CHARGED INTEREST. That's basic common sense buddy. if you do not know that, you will end up paying late fees and mess up your credit history - so take caution! Also any points or cashback earned will be negated. Hence the card actually gives you back 500 each for 12 months = 6000 rupees in a year against a nominal fee of 750 per year IF YOU USE IT CORRECTLY. READ THE RULE BOOK CAREFULLY MAN. You'll end up saving a lot.Read More

From the review it feels as though the user is biased towards promoting Leo as if it were her own company or business. Can't trust this review ... Sorry!
