Recently there have been many incidents in Bangalore where people have been robbed on gun/knife points. The latest trend is to attack techies working in odd hours. After getting hold of victim these crooks will ask for ATM code for all the cards found with any person and beat the victim to death if ...he does not give it. Once they get hold of the ATM code,all the money would be with drawn from ATM. Looking at this I thought that it may be good idea to request bank to limit my ATM withdrawal to Rs.1000 per day and I wrote to ICICI bank explaining situation. Here is reply I got from the account manager 'Dear customer, We are unable to comply with this request as our system does not have a provision for this. We suggest you not to give your ATM code to any one' Does the person replying understand the situation? I have opinion that all these banks are organised robbers. They will charge you with out telling. They opt you in to paid schemes/features with out your concent They work with some other con companys (Eg : Reliance ) to steal users money and eat theitr intrest. They send goons to collect wh...at ever little out standing in your account (not because you purchased any thing but, bank chose to charge you with some new charge) And most common is promising life time free card and charging un suspecting card holders. If card holder discputes charge before payment reverse it back. If for some reason he pays it with out asking then later wants a refund say that it is not possible (their system does not allow it )Read More

HDFC is taking customers for a ride. I have received a Business Reply Envelope for getting the marketing calls by their agents. If I choose not to send the card 'no response' then this will mean that 'I Consent' for receiving their rubbish calls and waste my time. If HDFC is really concerned... about clients then they should 1. Automatically delist all the clients from their time wasting marketing calls and enable it only to those people who have time to fill in and send the Reply card giving their consent. 2. Also provide online location where I could submit my wish 'NOT TO RECEIVE' any calls from them. Cant any one RBI/ Banking Regulators see that HDFC is just working around the system ?. I am sure that even if some one has filled the card and sent it to HDFC they will just ignore it and pretend as if they never received it. Btw I am still waiting for my PIN waited for 2 months now. I think some one from HDFC is personally carrying the pin and he is crawling from Mumbai to Bangalore. (Walking he could have reached by now )Read More
